Kia Ora, Vanakam!

My name is Perinpanayaki Thiruarutnathan, everyone calls me Inpa, and I am originally from Sri Lanka. Before moving to New Zealand, I worked in a primary school, where I discovered my passion for working with children. I have been living in New Zealand for 21 years with my loving husband and wonderful son.

Family is very important to me, and I deeply value the love and support we share together. I have been working in Early Childhood Education for the past 13 years in New Zealand. I am very proud of myself for working at Mt Wellies for the past ten years. This long journey has given me valuable experience, confidence and many beautiful memories with children, family and colleagues.

I truly enjoy creating meaningful relationships with children and supporting their learning journey in a warm and caring environment. I am also very passionate about my Tamil language and culture. Because of this passion, I enjoy teaching Tamil at Tamil Poonga Education and helping children connect with their language and cultural roots.

In my free time, I enjoy practicing yoga, sewing traditional clothing, and gardening. These activities bring me happiness, creativity, and peace. My objective is to use my strong organisational skills, educational background, experience, and ability to support children in their early years of learning and development.
