Teacher, Rata Room (Preschool)
Brief info
Kia Ora, ආයුබෝවන්,
My name is Muditha Apeksha Ranasinghe. I am delighted to be part of the education sector, where I can contribute to children's learning and development while building meaningful relationships with families and the wider community. Originally from Sri Lanka, I now live in New Zealand with my husband and our two children, embracing the opportunities and experiences that come with raising a family in this diverse and welcoming country.
I hold a Diploma in Education and a Bachelor of Education Degree, and I have over six years of teaching experience as a government-registered teacher in Sri Lanka, alongside three years of experience in early childhood education in New Zealand. During this time, I worked with both primary and secondary school students in Sri Lanka and supported young children's learning and development in New Zealand, fostering their academic, social, and emotional growth.
My teaching approach is centred on creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment where every child feels valued, respected, and encouraged to achieve their best. I believe that children learn most effectively when they feel confident, engaged, and connected to their learning experiences. I am passionate about helping children develop independence, resilience, and a love of learning that will stay with them throughout their lives.
I enjoy creating meaningful learning opportunities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. Building strong partnerships with children, families, and colleagues is important to me, as I believe that working together creates the best outcomes for children's development and wellbeing.
I look forward to sharing my knowledge, experiences, and enthusiasm with the children and families I work alongside, and to supporting each child on their unique learning journey.
Muditha Ranasinghe
